Skin booster injections contain Hyaluronic Acid (HA). HA occurs naturally in your skin and helps to keep your skin hydrated by binding to water molecules. Our HA naturally depletes with age, which can causes many signs of aging such as fine lines, wrinkles and laxity of skin etc.
Injections of hydrating hyaluronic acid helps to restores lost moisture in your skin, improving elasticity and firmness and makes your skin more radiant.
Skin Boosters are not comparable to applying topical moisturiser as the product is delivered much deeper and more precisely into your tissue giving far more dramatic and long lasting results.
Skin boosters generally start hydrating your skin immediately, however full results can be seen after 3 months.
The duration of results may vary from person to person as we are all individual but generally results tend to last approximately 6 to 9 months. However, there are many factors such as starting condition of your skin, your lifestyle, diet and age which can determine how long results may last.
Generally Skin Boosters are administered in 1 to 3 treatments, depending on your goals and needs.
Each product we use has been fully tested and approved and are known to be well tolerated by most.
Immediately post treatment you may experience some redness, itching or minor bruising but these tend to resolve themselves quickly within a few days.
As treatment is administered via multiple injections there may be some discomfort depending on your personal tolerance. Everybody has different sensitivity to injections but if you are particularly concerned about potential discomfort you can discuss pain this with our nurse who may be able to prescribe some form of anesthetic.
